Job summary

NEOMED in Ohio seeks a Medical Director for the Certified Mental Health Assistant (CMHA) program. This part-time, non-tenure track appointment provides clinical leadership to the CMHA curriculum and clinical rotations, ensuring accreditation standards and high-quality student outcomes.

The role requires MD/DO, ABP Psychiatry board certification, and extensive teaching experience in university settings, with a strong emphasis on evidence-based medicine and collaboration with the Program Director

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board certified in Psychiatry; 10 years clinical experience.
• Active and unrestricted Ohio medical license.
• Minimum 5 years teaching students or residents.
• University-based teaching experience.
• Coordinating the activity of and supervising clinicians.

Responsibilities

• Provide vision for the development and growth of the clinical curriculum.
• Coordinate and teach pre-clinical classes and coordinate clinical rotations to achieve accreditation.
• Supervise ongoing calibration of clinical sites for high-quality education and student success.
• Provide ongoing CQI of the clinical curriculum.
• Serve as the program Medical Liaison with statewide stakeholders.
• Produce clinicians who practice evidence-based medicine.
