Job summary

Planned Parenthood of Maryland Inc. seeks a compassionate Medical Assistant to join our Annapolis center part-time (Wednesdays and Thursdays). You will support clinicians, educate patients on reproductive health, and ensure a respectful, informed patient experience.

Responsibilities include clinical and administrative tasks, patient guidance, and seamless front/back-office operations using the Epic EMR system. CMA preferred; bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from an accredited medical assistant program required.
• Minimum 1 year outpatient clinical experience or 2 years front/back office MA experience.
• Preferred CMA credential; ultrasound experience; knowledge of Epic EMR.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Educate clients with empathetic, non-directive counseling on contraception, pregnancy, STI risks.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures, following SOPs and medical guidelines.
• Guide patients through visits, ensuring informed consent and answering questions about procedures, labs, and medications.
• Manage front/back-office tasks and navigate Epic EMR for scheduling and insurance verification.
