Job summary

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Podiatry or Orthopedic clinic experience preferred.
• X-ray experience is a plus.
• Clinical care coordination or care management experience ideal.
• Excellent grammar and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with EMR, preferably athenahealth.
• Geriatric patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Place patients in exam rooms and prepare them for physician visit.
• Complete exam intake including medical history and social history.
• Record vitals and document in EMR (athenahealth).
• Provide patient care under podiatric physician supervision and assist in the exam room.
• Restock exam rooms and manage exam room cleanliness and sterilization.
• Sterilize exam and x-ray rooms after visits and at day end.
• Perform equipment sterilization procedures.
• Conduct health assessments and visits with Upperline Plus patients.
• Telephonic outreach to coordinate ongoing preventative care.
• Coordinate care activities including records requests and referrals.
• Travel to nearby clinics to provide support when needed.
