Job summary

Upperline Health is seeking a motivated Medical Assistant to support physicians in the Dayton, OH clinic. You will handle a range of clinical and administrative tasks, including patient prep, vitals, basic X-ray support, and care coordination for Upperline Plus patients.

Ideal candidates have podiatry or orthopedic clinic experience, X-ray exposure, and strong EMR skills. The role emphasizes teamwork, flexibility, and delivering quality patient care within a weekday clinic schedule.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
• Podiatry or Orthopedic clinic experience preferred.
• X-ray experience is a plus.
• Clinical care coordination or care management experience is ideal.
• Experience with geriatric patients preferred.
• Excellent computer skills and strong knowledge of medical terminology.
• EMR experience, preferably athenahealth.
• Effective communicator with strong grammar and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Place patients in exam rooms and prepare them for the physician.
• Complete exam intake including history elements.
• Record vitals and documentation in EMR (athenahealth).
• Assist podiatric physician with x-rays and in exam room as needed.
• Perform daily administrative tasks and restock exam rooms.
• Sterilize exam and x-ray rooms and equipment.
• Coordinate care through medical records requests and referrals.
• Travel to surrounding clinics to provide support if needed.
