Upperline Health is seeking a Part-Time Medical Assistant in Munster, IN to support podiatry/orthopedic physicians in a clinic setting. The role covers clinical tasks and administrative duties, with emphasis on patient prep, vitals, x-ray support, and EMR documentation.

Qualifications

• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Podiatry or Orthopedic clinic exposure preferred.
• X-ray experience is a plus.
• Clinical care coordination or similar experience is ideal.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with medical terminology.
• Experience using EMR systems, preferably Athenahealth.

Responsibilities

• Place patients in exam rooms and prep them for physician visits.
• Complete exam intake, reviewing medical, social and surgical histories.
• Take vitals and document in the clinic EMR (Athenahealth).
• Assist physicians and perform X-ray tasks as required.
• Restock exam rooms and dispose of waste; sterilize as needed.
• Coordinate ongoing care and outreach for Upperline Plus patients.
• Travel to nearby clinics to provide support if required.
