Metro Infusion Center in Peoria, IL is hiring a part-time Patient Care Assistant (Medical Assistant) to support back-office duties with occasional front desk tasks. Schedule is 3 days per week totaling 24 hours, with flexible days.

Responsibilities include escorting patients, documenting vitals, stocking rooms, managing inventory, and handling front desk tasks such as scheduling, billing, and records processing. Must have at least one year of clinical experience and provide vaccination proof.

Qualifications

• Must have at least one year of clinical practice experience, preferably in an office setting.
• Must be comfortable with back office responsibilities.
• High school Education or equivalent.
• Proof of current vaccinations for immunocompromised patients (measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A & B, influenza, COVID-19).

Responsabilités

• Escort patients from reception to exam room and document vitals and chief complaint.
• Stock exam rooms with supplies and keep rooms clean between patients.
• Maintain inventory and complete requisitions to avoid shortages.
• Front desk duties: filing, scheduling, phone coverage, and billing processing.
• Register patients and collect co-pays and past due balances.
• Process referrals and manage medical records requests and dictation.
