Job summary

Metro Infusion Center (affiliated with Metro Infectious Disease Consultants) is seeking a part-time Patient Care Assistant (Medical Assistant) to support our Bloomington, IL clinic. Role covers back-office duties with some front desk tasks, aiming for a well-coordinated patient flow.

The schedule is 3 days per week (24 hours total) with flexibility. Candidates should have at least one year of clinical experience and be comfortable in a busy office setting, including vaccine requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have at least one year of clinical practice experience, preferably in an office setting.
• Must be comfortable with back office responsibilities.
• High school Education or equivalent.
• Proof of current vaccinations (measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A & B, influenza, and COVID-19).

Responsibilities

• Escort patients from reception to exam room, document vital signs and chief complaint, and notify the doctor when ready.
• Stock exam rooms with supplies and maintain room cleanliness.
• Maintain inventory and process requisitions to avoid stockouts.
• Front desk tasks: filing, scheduling, billing, and patient registration.
• Process co-pays and referrals, and manage medical records requests.
