Metro Infusion Center, affiliated with Metro Infectious Disease Consultants, seeks a full-time Medical Assistant to travel between Bloomington, IL and Peoria, IL clinics. The role covers back-office duties with some front-desk tasks, supporting physicians and ensuring smooth patient flow.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of clinical experience, is comfortable with back-office work, and can manage patient registration, billing, and referrals.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of clinical practice experience, preferably in an office setting.
• Must be comfortable with back office responsibilities.
• High school education or equivalent.
• Proof of current vaccinations, including boosters, for immunocompromised patients (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis A & B, Flu, COVID-19).

Responsabilités

• Escort patients from reception to exam room, document vitals and chief complaint, and notify doctor when patient is ready.
• Stock exam rooms with supplies and maintain room cleanliness.
• Handle front desk tasks: scheduling, billing, and telephone coverage.
• Register patients and manage demographics, collect co-pays.
• Process referrals and manage medical records requests.
