Job summary

Advocate Medical Group (AMG) in Aurora, IL is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to support the care team with essential clinical and administrative tasks. The role requires a MA diploma or 2 years of MA experience, or a certified MA with 2 years of experience, with phlebotomy skills preferred.

The position involves 20 hours per week, Tuesday/Thursday 8 am–6 pm, plus one Saturday per month 8 am–12 pm, and work primarily on-site in the Allergy/Immunology department.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• MA diploma or 2 years MA experience or certified MA with 2 years experience required.
• Phlebotomy skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule: Tuesday and Thursday 8 am–6 pm.
• One Saturday per month 8 am–12 pm.
• Communicate test results to patients, manage return calls, process refills, respond to MyChart messages.
• Support providers and patients, ensuring a seamless, compassionate experience.
• Welcome patients and assist with intake, vital signs, histories, and screenings.
• Record care in the electronic health record and coordinate with nurses and physicians.
