Job summary

Advocate Medical Group (AMG) in Aurora, IL is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to support the care team with clinical and administrative tasks. The role requires an MA diploma or certification, or 2 years of MA experience, with preferred phlebotomy skills.

Office hours include weekdays 8 am to 7 pm and Saturdays 8 am to 12 pm or 8 am to 5 pm. You will welcome patients, take vitals, prepare exams, assist providers, administer vaccines, and document care in the EHR while upholding safety and

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Medical Assistant diploma or 2 years of MA experience or be a certified MA with 2 years MA experience to qualify.
Phlebotomy skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

Office Hours: Monday - Friday 8 am-7 pm. Saturday 8 am - 12 pm and 8 am to 5 pm.
Communicate test results to patients and manage return phone calls.
Process prescription refill requests and respond to MyChart messages.
Support providers, connect with patients, and help ensure a seamless, compassionate experience.
Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
Document care in the electronic health record and collaborate with the care team.
