Job summary

Advocate Health's Advocate Medical Group in Aurora, IL seeks a Medical Assistant for a PRN/part-time role. You will support the care team with clinical and administrative tasks, manage patient communications, and assist providers during exams.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, MA diploma or 2 years’ MA experience (or certified MA with 2 years), phlebotomy skills preferred. Flexible scheduling with clinic hours Mon–Fri and some Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant diploma or 2 years of MA experience or certified MA with 2 years of MA experience required.
• Phlebotomy skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate test results to patients and manage return phone calls.
• Process prescription refill requests and respond to patient messages.
• Support providers during examinations and procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Document care in the electronic health record.
