Job summary

Allure HCS seeks a detail-oriented Medicaid Specialist Assistant to support on-site Medicaid processing within Knox County, Illinois. The role focuses on eligibility reviews, document organization, and timely admissions coordination.

This part-time position (24 hours per week) offers exposure to corporate Medicaid operations, training opportunities, and a collaborative team environment. A high school diploma and prior long-term care experience are required; salary ranges from $40,000 to $50,000

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred.
• Basic Illinois Medicaid knowledge.
• Strong computer skills and MS Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review daily facility census for Medicaid eligibility.
• Identify eligible admissions and notify the Corporate Medicaid Specialist.
• Print and organize resident face sheets and supporting documentation.
• Review Illinois Medicaid verification requests and determine required documents.
• Communicate with facility staff, residents, families, and outside agencies.
• Contact POA or other authorized representatives to obtain documents.
• Assist with monthly reporting and Medicaid redeterminations.
• Support Business Office Managers with Medicaid processes.
• Maintain confidential resident information.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
