Job summary

Allure HCS seeks a Medicaid Support Specialist Assistant to join our Corporate Medicaid team and provide on-site support within an Illinois skilled nursing facility, ensuring timely Medicaid processing for residents.

This part-time role (24 hours/week) emphasizes accuracy, collaboration with facility staff, and confidentiality, with responsibilities spanning eligibility reviews, document gathering, and Medicaid redeterminations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred.
• Knowledge of Illinois Medicaid eligibility terminology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review daily facility census for residents needing Medicaid eligibility review.
• Identify Medicaid-eligible admissions and notify the Corporate Medicaid Specialist for timely entry into the Illinois MEDI system.
• Print and organize resident face sheets and supporting documentation.
• Review Illinois Medicaid verification requests and determine required documents.
• Communicate professionally with facility staff, residents, families, and outside agencies.
• Contact POA or authorized representatives to obtain documentation.
• Assist with monthly reporting and Medicaid redeterminations.
• Support Business Office Managers with annual Medicaid redeterminations.
