Allure HCS, a leading provider of skilled nursing and healthcare services, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Medicaid Support Specialist to join our Corporate Medicaid team. As a Medicaid Specialist Assistant, you will provide on-site support within one of our skilled nursing facilities, Illinois, ensuring timely Medicaid processing for residents.
Review daily facility census for residents requiring Medicaid eligibility review
Identify Medicaid-eligible admissions and notify the Corporate Medicaid Specialist to ensure timely admission into the Illinois MEDI system
Print and organize resident face sheets and supporting documentation as needed
Review Illinois Medicaid verification requests and determine which required documents are available and which must still be obtained
Communicate professionally with facility staff, residents, families, and outside agencies
Contact Powers of Attorney (POA), responsible parties, family members, or other authorized representatives to obtain required documentation
Assist with monthly reporting and ongoing follow-up to help ensure Medicaid coverage remains current across assigned facilities
Support Business Office Managers with annual Medicaid redeterminations and related documentation as needed
Maintain accurate records while protecting confidential resident information
Perform additional duties as assigned
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience working in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility required
Basic knowledge of Illinois Medicaid eligibility and terminology required
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail with consistent follow-through
Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a team
