Job summary

RFCUNY is seeking a Part-Time Math Tutor for the Liberty Partnerships Program. You will provide targeted math tutoring to high school students at Clara Barton HS and Aspirations Diploma Plus HS in Brooklyn, aligning instruction with NYS Regents and offering targeted prep for exams and SAT math sections.

The role emphasizes equity, mentorship, and building student confidence. A high school diploma is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality individual and small-group math tutoring to high school students.
• Assist students with core high school mathematics and NYS Regents alignment (Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II/Trigonometry).
• Facilitate structured preparation sessions for NYS Regents exams, SAT math sections, and final exams.
• Document student attendance, log milestones, track progress, and submit data reports to the LPP Director and school coordinators.
• Maintain professional communication with high school teachers, LPP guidance counselors, and administrative staff.
