Job summary

AoPS Academy Millburn is seeking a Part-Time Math Instructor to teach advanced math using our curriculum for small classes up to 16 students. This in-person, afterschool/ weekend role emphasizes engaging lessons, student-led learning, and building strong relationships with students and families.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree with strong math knowledge and prior teaching or tutoring experience. No credential is required.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related or educational field is strongly preferred.
• Strong content knowledge in math.
• Experience teaching or tutoring students.
• Classroom teaching experience at the K-12 level is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach engaging curriculum using company-created materials for advanced students.
• Engage students in each class or student-led learning.
• Classroom management of up to 16 students.
• Grade and provide feedback on tests.
• Build relationships with students and families to make an impact.
• Inspire learning and critical thinking in math.
