Job summary

AoPS Academy in Mountain View, CA is seeking a part-time Math Instructor to join our afterschool program. You will teach advanced math curriculum to small classes, engage students, and build relationships with families.

A Bachelor's degree is required; STEM or education background is strongly preferred. No formal teaching credential is required. Classes occur in the evenings and/or on weekends, typically 3 hours per week per class.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or educational field is strongly preferred.
• Strong content knowledge in math.
• Experience teaching or tutoring students.
• K-12 classroom teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach engaging curriculum using company-created materials for advanced students.
• Engage students and involve them in each class or student-led learning.
• Classroom management for up to 16 students.
• Grade and provide feedback on tests.
• Build relationships with students and families to impact their educational journeys.
• Inspire learning and critical thinking in math.
