Job summary

Assignments may include day, evening, weekend, online, or hybrid classes at any of the District's colleges, with duties such as teaching, developing syllabi, creating assignments, and evaluating student performance.

Qualifications

• Meet minimum qualifications by submitting official or unofficial transcripts and a detailed work history.
• Degrees from regionally accredited institutions; foreign degrees require evaluation.
• Official transcripts and verification of employment may be required upon offer.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses in accordance with approved outlines and student learning outcomes.
• Prepare and deliver engaging, student-centered instruction using evidence-based practices.
• Develop and maintain course syllabi, instructional materials, assignments, and assessments.
• Evaluate student performance timely and equitably and maintain academic records.
• Submit grades by established deadlines and maintain communication with students.
• Create an inclusive learning environment for students from diverse backgrounds.
• Utilize the District LMS and instructional technologies as appropriate.

Education

Master’s in mathematics or applied mathematics

Bachelor’s in mathematics or applied mathematics + Master’s in statistics, physics or mathematics education
