Peralta Community College District seeks qualified part-time faculty to provide high-quality instruction and student support that advances equity, student success, and academic excellence. Assignments are made on an as-needed basis and may include day, evening, weekend, online, or hybrid classes at any of the District’ s colleges.

Minimum qualifications include a Master’s in mathematics or applied mathematics or a Bachelor’s in the above with a Master’s in statistics, physics or mathematics

Qualifications

• Master’s in mathematics or applied mathematics OR a Bachelor’s in either and a Master’s in statistics, physics or mathematics education.
• Understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of students.
• Ability to teach in online, on-campus and hybrid formats.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses in accordance with approved outlines and student learning outcomes.
• Prepare and deliver engaging, student-centered instruction using evidence-based practices.
• Develop and maintain course syllabi, instructional materials, assignments, and assessments.
