Job summary

RFCUNY's Bridges to Academic Success seeks a part-time instructional coach with math, language and literacy expertise who can coach teachers, develop curricula, and support English learners. The role involves improving instructional materials and professional development for educators working with newcomer students.

The position requires experience leading PD, designing content with scaffolds, and collaborating across districts, with hybrid on-site and remote work options.

Qualifications

• New York State residency with travel in NYS, 3+ years teaching literacy and English learners.
• Experience coaching teachers and facilitating professional development sessions.
• Bachelor's degree; ability to work independently and with teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver online and in-person professional learning for Math teachers.
• Develop curricula with appropriate scaffolds and co-teaching strategies.
• Analyze needs assessments and conduct outreach with teacher/district stakeholders.
• Lead a cohort of teachers across districts and manage timelines and deliverables.
• Work on site with teachers and remotely with Bridges team.
