Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Breast and X-Ray Center is seeking a Mammography Technologist for a part-time role. You will perform mammography exams, ensure image quality, and document results in PACS/RIS while prioritizing patient comfort and clear communication.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year in radiologic technology with mammography experience, ARRT-R, ARRT-M, and BLS certification, and can work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year as Radiologic Technologist and 1 year in mammography in a hospital setting.
• Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-M (Mammography), BLS – American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per physician order and protocol.
• Review images for quality and documentation in PACS/RIS; manage charge capture.
• Explain the exam clearly to reduce patient anxiety and maintain privacy and comfort.
• Maintain equipment and comply with infection control and FDA guidelines.
