StoryPoint Group's Valparaiso Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a part-time 8am-4pm shift. You will perform general maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural areas, with weekend and holiday availability and outdoor work in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or some college credits in a technical area; or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in apartment maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, structural and appliance repair; drywall and painting experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures; write routine reports.
• Able to follow written or verbal instructions and solve problems with basic reasoning.
• Positive, friendly attitude and willingness to work with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Operates tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Establishes and maintains good working relationships with teammates.
• Identifies and reports broken equipment or safety concerns.
• Keeps work area clean and safe per regulations.
• Performs preventative maintenance on machinery and building assets.
• Maintains a positive customer service attitude with residents and staff.
