Job summary

Paramark Corp is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team in Albert Lea, MN, as a Part-Time Maintenance Technician. This flexible position is 20 to 25 hours per week with a wage range of $23 to $25 per hour.

The role involves overseeing daily maintenance, coordinating with the Property Manager, and performing routine and preventative tasks to maintain properties. Strong hands-on skills in HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical basics are important, along with basic computer use.

Qualifications

• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, minor electrical.
• Experience with hand tools including tape measure, square, level, hand saw, chisel, cutters, pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers.
• Experience with power tools, including grinders, drills, various saws, rotary hammers, sanders, routers, planers, nail guns, air compressors.
• Experience with mechanical equipment such as motors, pumps, compressors, blowers.
• Experience with measuring devices such as voltmeters, multimeters, ohmmeters, PH tests.
• Basic computer skills with the ability to use email
• Be organized and efficient; be accountable and a team player

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing and performing routine maintenance in a timely fashion.
• Maintaining service requests and documenting work performed.
• Inspecting units and creating make-ready checklists.
• Overseeing preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Order parts, obtain bids, and coordinate with vendors.
• Assist with safety inspections and keep areas clean.
• Coordinate daily with the Property Manager.

Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Technician, you will oversee daily maintenance operations and ensure the upkeep of the property under the guidance of the Property Manager and Regional Manager. A typical day may consist of such tasks as:

• Diagnosing and performing minor and routine maintenance in a timely fashion
• Ensuring all service requests are completed daily
• Accurately document work performed through our electronic work order system
• Inspect vacated units and create make-ready checklists
• Complete special projects as assigned and prioritized by the Property Manager
• Inspect the exterior of the property for needed preventative maintenance or repairs
• Complete or oversee the completion of the preventative maintenance or repairs
• Order parts and supplies and maintain inventory
• Obtain bids and negotiate pricing from outside vendors and contractors
• Perform emergency maintenance (after hours) as neededCoordinate with the Property Manager daily
• Perform and report on all work according to the safety standards of the company, OSHA, and health codes
• Keep work areas clean and tidy daily
• Promote positive public relations with residents, co-workers, and company staff through a friendly and courteous attitude.

Requirements
