Job summary

Brio Living Services is seeking a part-time Maintenance Technician to join the Environmental Services team at Cedars of Dexter in Dexter, MI. The role covers grounds, facility, and equipment upkeep with a rotating two-week schedule and an average of 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, safety checks, cleaning, and event setup support. The position requires the ability to lift up to 35 pounds and strong interpersonal skills to interact with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Maintenance Tech position.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
• Position requires the ability to lift and move objects weighting up to 35 pounds without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment, including plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical work, as directed and in accordance with established procedures.
• Service heating and cooling units/systems, as specified by the manufacturer, and in compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Perform occasional maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc., by cutting, trimming, policing, sweeping, removing snow, and salting, as necessary/directed.
• Set up and take down tables, chairs, and equipment for indoor or outdoor functions as directed.
• Provide occasional backup support for housekeeping duties.
