Job summary

Silverado St. Charles is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to keep the community safe, functional, and welcoming for residents, families, and staff.

This hands‑on role blends technical tasks with a heart for service, reporting to the Director of Plant Operations. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in maintenance in hospital, institutional, or multi‑unit settings, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Perform general maintenance tasks to keep the community in excellent condition
• Support safety, cleanliness, and functionality across all areas of the property
• Work under the direction of the Director of Plant Operations
• Assist with repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance
• Ensure a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors

Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED, or educational equivalent preferred
• At least 1 year of maintenance experience in hospital, institutional, or multi‑unit residential settings
• Effective communicator in verbal and written English
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
• Reliable transportation to meet attendance and punctuality standards
• Active role: walking, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
• Knowledge of general maintenance procedures
• Comfortable working around animals and pets

Schedule: Part Time, PM shift, Tuesday -Thursday

Anticipated pay range

$19 - $20 USD
