Job summary

Silverado Senior Living Management Inc. seeks a Director of Plant Operations in Lee's Summit, MO. You will lead maintenance, safety, and facilities programs to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for residents and staff.

You will manage contractors, supervise the maintenance team, and coordinate across departments to support smooth operations. This role requires hands-on leadership and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in hospital or institutional settings.
• High school diploma, GED, or educational equivalent.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical repairs, general maintenance, laundry, and housekeeping procedures.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Able to walk, bend, lift up to 50 lbs. and work with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all functions required to keep the physical facility in good repair and safe for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with outside vendors and service providers.
• Support laundry and housekeeping operations as needed.
• Supervise maintenance staff and ensure timely completion of work orders.
• Respond to emergency maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborate with other departments to support community operations.
• May be required to work outside of regular hours depending on business needs.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Reliable transportation to meet attendance and punctuality standards

Anticipated pay range

$75,000 — $80,000 USD
