Job summary

College of Southern Nevada is seeking a part-time Machining instructor to deliver lecture and lab sessions for Machine Tool Technology courses at the Henderson campus. You will develop syllabi, align curricula with standards, and guide students through hands-on learning in metrology, GD&T, CNC milling/turning, and CAD/additive/subtractive manufacturing.

The role requires an AAS in Machining or related field or 5 years of industry experience; teaching and online/hybrid experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate of Applied Science degree in Machining or related field/engineering or
• 5 years of relevant industry experience.
• Preference for 10 years in Machining/Manufacturing and 2 years teaching in CTE.
• Experience with online/hybrid classes and curriculum development.
• Industrial certifications such as NIMS/NC3 are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lecture and lab instruction for Machining courses (MTT).
• Develop syllabi and course materials to align with standards.
• Assess student mastery of skills and course outcomes.
• Advise students and support diverse learning needs.
• Attend staff meetings and recruitment activities as requested.
