Job summary

College of Southern Nevada (CSN) invites applications for a Part-Time Engineering Technology Instructor to teach Engineering Technology, Mechanical Technology, and Technical Physics courses at North Las Vegas, Henderson, and Western Campuses, with in-person and online delivery. Responsibilities include lecturing, developing syllabi, guiding lab procedures, advising students, and evaluating competence.

Required: 5 years of related experience or an Applied Science degree in Engineering

Qualifications

• 5 years of work-related experience OR Applied Science degree in Engineering Technologies or equivalent degree.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree and 1 year full-time teaching experience; knowledge of Canvas or other Learning Management Systems.

Responsibilities

• Lecture and or Lab instruction for Engineering Technology, Mechanical Technology, and or Technical Physics courses.
• Demonstrate and assist students with lab procedures and safety; develop syllabi and course materials.
• Independently evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies; provide advisement to students.
• Attend staff meetings and recruitment activities.
