Job summary

College of Southern Nevada invites applications for a Part‑Time Instructor position in the Advanced Manufacturing Program, beginning ASAP. In the DWED with the Applied Technology Department, you will develop and instruct lab and lecture classes, create student outcomes, and support the program in Las Vegas.

The role requires teaching across Mechanical Technology, Automation/Robotics, PLCs, Industrial Electricity, Electronics, and related fields, with opportunities to engage with industry

Qualifications

• Hold an associate’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical or Electrical Technology, or Engineering (degrees in related fields acceptable).
• OR a minimum of 5 years of Industrial Experience.
• AND a minimum of 2 years of Industrial Experience (Preferred).
• A minimum of 1 year of teaching experience in Career and Technical Education (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop and instruct lab and lecture classes; develop student learning outcomes and course descriptions.
• Organize instruction toward achieving student learning objectives; select textbooks and other curriculum; confer with students; evaluate student mastery.
• Develop and implement curriculum and lesson plans.
• Program assessment and curriculum development; student mentoring; maintain records; industry outreach; supervise staff as needed.
• Collaborate with industry to address manufacturing education/training needs; participate in committees and recruitment.
