Job summary

Neuro Skills, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (Part Time) in Irving, TX. The LVN will render professional nursing care in the clinic, with weekday hours, some weekend coverage, and on-call work.

The role supports patients at residential sites and community settings under supervision of the Nursing Department Coordinator or staff RNs. The ideal candidate will have active State Board of Nursing licensure, CPR certification, and experience in skilled nursing and rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• Current licensure by State Board of Nursing.
• Specialized knowledge in skilled nursing and rehabilitation preferred. Maintain CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing techniques for the comfort and well-being of the patient.
• Conducts visits at residential site to assess medical status, administer or supervise medication, and perform treatment procedures.
• Assists with weekly and/or bi-monthly medical staffings.
• Works on-call shifts as required.
• Keeps Nursing Department informed of patient concerns and treatment course.
• Performs reporting procedures.
• Ensures safety of patients, visitors, staff and self during interactions with potentially disruptive patients.
• Performs transfers with assistance for patients up to 150 pounds.
