Qualifications

• Current Texas state license as an LVN.
• Knowledge of TBI and related syndromes.
• Ability to work well with other people in a clinical setting.
• Ability to stimulate and motivate people.
• Ability to communicate accurate and pertinent information through documentation.
• CPR certification required
• Valid Texas driver's license, required
• One year of inpatient experience required, rehab and ALF experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide specified nursing services to Moody patients.
• Round on residents to assess behavior and functional status.
• Document routine assessments and collaborate with RN staff.
• Educate patients on medications, comorbidities after brain injury and prevention of recurrence.
• Attend team meetings and communicate with care team.
• Oversee medication administration and monitor self-administration.
• Maintain medical documentation and ensure compliance with policies.
• Provide wound care as ordered by Medical Director or Wound Care Specialist.
• Assist in emergency situations including fire drills and first aid.
