Job summary

CNS is seeking a Registered Nurse for a part-time role in Irving, TX. The RN will provide professional nursing care across clinics and community/residential sites, with weekday hours, weekend coverage, and on-call shifts as needed.

The role requires current RN licensure in the state and experience in skilled nursing/rehabilitation. CPR certification is required, CRRN is desirable after 2 years in rehab nursing, and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in state employed is required.
• Experience in skilled nursing and rehabilitation concepts preferred.
• CPRN certification is desirable following 2 years of rehabilitation nursing experience.
• Maintain CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing techniques for the comfort and well-being of the patient.
• Visits residential site if needed to assess patients' medical status, administer or supervise medication and perform treatment procedures.
• Assists with weekly and/or bi-monthly medical staffings.
• Performs reporting procedures.
• Works on-call shifts as required. Demonstrate flexibility with regards to patient census, staffing needs and scheduling.
• Provides for the safety of patients, visitors, staff and self when interacting with patients who may have behavioral outbursts, which can include yelling, exiting, hitting, kicking, biting, spitting, scratching, and throwing objects.
• Performs toilet and chair transfers with assistance for patients up to 150 pounds utilizing approved transfer techniques.
• Coordinates and attends medical appointments requiring transporting patients in company or personal vehicle.

Education

RN licensure in state employed

CPR certification

CRRN certification desirable (after 2 years rehab nursing)
