Job summary

Akron Children’s Hospital seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a part-time, onsite role. The LPN will provide skilled nursing care under RN direction, assess and document patient care, and contribute to education for patients and families.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited LPN program, Ohio LPN license, and BLS certification. Prior healthcare/home care experience is preferred; on-site collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited LPN program.
• Current, valid LPN license in Ohio.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate nursing care under supervision of a RN or provider.
• Collect and monitor patient data, including specimens and labs, and communicate changes to provider.
• Develop and implement care and discharge plans under RN direction; assist with ADLs.
• Safely administer medications and treatments; monitor for adverse reactions.
