Job summary

Akron Children's is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to assist in assessing, planning and delivering care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This full-time onsite role includes a $2,000 sign-on bonus and daytime hours.

Responsibilities include patient/family education, collaboration with staff, and contributing to quality care delivery. Ohio LPN license and BLS certification are required, with preferred phlebotomy experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing and be currently licensed as an LPN in Ohio.
• Must have or obtain BLS certification.
• Certifications: Ohio Medication Card, OOPNES Card, or NAPNES.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient/family education and staff teaching under RN supervision.
• Perform tasks to promote efficient operation and quality patient care.
• Contribute to delivery of safe, high-quality care and support nursing staff.
