Akron Children's is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide skilled nursing care under the direction of an RN or licensed provider. The role involves assessing, planning, delivering, and documenting patient care in accordance with ACH standards. Care is delivered within the scope of practice for LPNs.

The position is full-time (36 hours/week) with a $2,000 sign-on bonus, onsite in Akron. Experience with electronic medical records (Epic) and strong communication are preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent patient care, verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work effectively with all levels within the organization.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Epic EMR systems (preferred).
• LPN licensure in Ohio; graduate from an accredited LPN program.
• Minimum one year of relevant experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide age-appropriate nursing care under RN or provider supervision.
• Collect and monitor patient data, labs, and communicate changes promptly to the provider.
• Develop and implement care and discharge plans under RN direction; assist with ADLs.
• Administer medications and treatments; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on health, treatments, and self-care.
• Document all aspects of patient care per hospital policies.
• Maintain safe, clean environment and adhere to ACH policies.
• Collaborate with the patient care team and pursue ongoing professional development.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
