Job summary

Akron Children9s Hospital is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide skilled nursing care under the direction of an RN or provider. The role involves assessing, planning, delivering, and documenting care, supporting patient and family education, and contributing to safe, high‑quality care onsite.

Requirements include graduating from an accredited LPN program, current Ohio LPN license, BLS certification, and at least 1 year of relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited LPN program.
• Current Ohio LPN license and BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate nursing care under supervision of RN or provider.
• Collect and monitor patient data including labs and specimens.
• Develop and implement care plans under RN direction and assist with ADLs.
• Safely administer medications and treatments and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on health and self-care.
• Document all aspects of patient care per policy and standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and report safety concerns.
• Collaborate with care team and participate in ongoing education.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
