Job summary

Catapult Learning, a division of FullBloom, seeks an Early Literacy Tutor (Part-Time) in Freetown, MA. The role provides targeted instruction in reading, math, and writing in K-12 settings, with flexible year-round or summer opportunities, part-time or full-time.

The position emphasizes advocacy, mentorship, and collaboration with school staff and families. Compensation is hourly, with professional development support and instructional toolkits to aid lesson delivery.

Qualifications

• Non-licensed tutors may have an associate degree or 48 semester hours (72 quarter hours)
• Licensed tutors have MA teaching credentials recognized by MA
• FBI/BCI background check required
• Teaching experience preferred
• Belief that all children can learn
• Ability to navigate online platforms for record keeping and communication

Responsibilities

• Diagnose learning skill deficits and deliver prescribed instructional methods
• Consult with school personnel to coordinate services for students
• Communicate progress with parents and conference on student progress
• Deliver prescribed instructional methods
• Attend training and implement instructional models and strategies in readiness, reading, mathematics, and/or writing
• Develop and maintain individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans
• Supervise students and escort to sessions
• Maintain student forms and files as required
• Attend and document meetings with Supervisors, teachers, principals, and parents
• Maintain inventory of educational materials
• Other duties as assigned
