Job summary

Catapult Learning in Freetown, MA seeks an Early Literacy Tutor (Part-Time) to provide contracted instruction in reading, mathematics, and writing at school sites. You’ll diagnose skill deficits, follow company-prescribed methods, and collaborate with teachers and families to support student progress.

This role offers flexible scheduling, professional development support, and the chance to mentor students while applying an established curriculum.

Qualifications

• Non-licensed tutors: associate degree (or higher) or at least two years of study.
• Licensed tutors: proper MA credentials recognized by the State.
• Tutores must complete FBI/BCI background check.
• Teaching experience preferred.
• Unwavering belief that all children can learn.
• Ability to navigate online platforms for record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose learning skill deficits and deliver prescribed instructional methods.
• Consult with school personnel to coordinate services to students.
• Communicate progress with parents.
• Deliver instructional methods as determined by the Company.
• Attend training and apply instructional models in reading, math, and writing.
• Develop and maintain individualized lesson plans.
• Supervise students and escort to sessions.
• Maintain student forms and files as required.
• Attend meetings with supervisors, teachers, principals, and parents.
• Maintain inventory of materials and supplies.
