Job summary

North Ogden Elementary in Utah is seeking a Literacy Aide to support students in grades K-3 with targeted reading interventions and data-driven progress monitoring.

The role requires implementing evidence-based instructional strategies, collaborating with classroom teachers and the literacy coach, and assisting with ongoing reading plans and documentation to ensure alignment with the Science of Reading.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead evidence-based reading interventions aligned with the Science of Reading for students with Individualized Reading Plans.
• Work closely with classroom teachers and the literacy coach to ensure interventions are delivered with fidelity and aligned with students’ IRPs.
• Assist with literacy building activities and strategies.
• Work with administrators to develop aide schedules.
• Complete and participate in ongoing Science of Reading training.
• Collaborate with teachers to review student progress and adjust supports.
• Coordinate instructional plans, group movements, and intervention schedules.
• Monitor IRPs schoolwide and communicate progress and updates to teachers.
• Support teachers in maintaining IRPs, including data collection and documentation.
