Job summary

Burch Creek Elementary in South Ogden, Utah is seeking a PT Literacy Aide to support grades K-3 with targeted reading interventions under the Science of Reading.

You will collaborate with teachers and the literacy coach, maintain reading plans, monitor student progress, and participate in ongoing training.

This 180-day calendar paraprofessional position is non-exempt with a 5.75 hour/day schedule; applications reviewed as opened.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead evidence-based reading interventions aligned with the Science of Reading for students with Individualized Reading Plans.
• Work closely with classroom teachers and the literacy coach to ensure interventions are delivered with fidelity and aligned with students’ Individualized Reading Plans.
• Assist with literacy building activities and strategies.
• Develop aide schedules in collaboration with administrators.
• Participate in ongoing Science of Reading training to ensure current best practice.
