Job summary

BluePearlPet Hospital in Tacoma is hiring a Part-Time Licensed Veterinary Technician for our ER department. The role offers a sign-on bonus or relocation pay for qualified candidates and a starting LVT pay band with shift differentials.

The position requires flexiblity to work nights and weekends. You will triage patients, place IV lines, perform advanced radiographs, monitor ventilator cases, and contribute to Level 2–3 inpatient care while mentoring teammates.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) required for part-time role in an ER setting.
• Tacoma, WA area – relocation or sign-on available for qualified candidates (as stated).
• Experience in veterinary emergency medicine preferred but not required for all applicants.

Responsibilities

• Triage and obtain patient history.
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
• Place IV catheters and central lines (e.g., Jugular, Central, PICC).
• Perform advanced radiographs and monitor ventilator cases.
• Provide Level 2–3 inpatient care.
• Collaborate with fellow technicians and assistants to deliver advanced medical care.
• Mentor and train other staff.

BluePearlPet Hospital is hiring a Part-Time Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our ER department in Tacoma!

This position is eligible for qualified candidates to receive a sign-on bonus or relocation pay

LVT I Pay: $25.63 - $36.81/hr (with shift differentials)

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through the Kahuna leveling system.

Schedule: Monday-Wednesday from 2am-10am

We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends. Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum.

• Mon – Fri: 6pm to 8am = $4.50 Shift Differential




• Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $4.50 Shift Differential




• Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $8.00 Shift Differential

We are hiring an exceptional Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team. This is a part-time position that requires flexibility to work nights and weekends and holidays.

As aVeterinary Technician, you will:
