Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our ER department. Eligible candidates may receive up to a $5,000 sign-on bonus or relocation pay, with Day, Swing, or Overnight shifts and weekend availability.

The LVT will triage, obtain histories, place IV/catheters, perform advanced radiographs, monitor ventilator cases, and provide Level 2–3 inpatient care, working with a team to deliver top-tier emergency medicine. Corporate-wide development opportunities apply.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid veterinary technician license (LVT).
• Experience in emergency/critical care is preferred.
• Ability to perform triage, history taking, and CPR as needed.

Responsibilities

• Triage and obtain patient history.
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
• Place IV catheters and advanced catheters.
• Perform advanced radiographs and monitor ventilator cases.
• Provide Level 2–3 inpatient care.
• Collaborate with technicians and assistants; mentor teammates.

Job description

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our ER department!

This position is eligible for qualified candidates to receive up to a $5,000 sign-on bonus or relocation pay

Schedules: Day or Swing or Overnight with weekend availability.

LVT I Pay:

25.63 - $36.81/Hr

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through the Kahuna leveling system.

We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends.

*Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum.

For example:

• Mon - Fri: 6pm to 8am = $4.50 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $4.50 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $8.00 Shift Differential

• Triage and obtain patient history

• Place IVC's and advanced catheters like Jugular catheters, Central Lines or PICC lines.

Our Continuing Education Plan includes $500/year reimbursement for CVT and $750/year for VTS. The Continuing Education allowance can roll over up to $1,500 for CVT and VTS associates. Non-Credentialed, full-time Paraprofessionals are eligible for an annual CE stipend of $150. Full-time CVT associates also receive 8 hours of CE paid hours each year. Full-time VTS associates receive 12 hours of CE paid each year. Paid CE hours can be carried over year to year up to a maximum of 24 hours. Newly hired associates will receive a pro-rated amount of any CE benefit for which they are eligible.
