Job summary

Advanced Vision Center is seeking a Licensed Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care on-site in Swampscott, MA. You will assist patients with frame and lens selections, ensure proper fit, and interpret prescriptions from Optometrists and Ophthalmologists.

You will enter prescriptions into the EHR/ALE system, educate patients on lens treatments and insurance benefits, and maintain high standards of accuracy and customer service in a fast-paced practice.

Qualifications

State Licensure
High School or GED qualification.
ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
Optical dispensing experience
HIPAA requirements preferred.
PC skills to include MS Office, Windows, and Word Processing.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
Excellent customer service skills and pleasant demeanor, experience with sales preferred.

Responsibilities

Delivers extraordinary experience to each patient. Provides patients with a complete understanding of our customized recommendations for products and services.
Receive patient handoff from technicians or doctors and establish rapport by asking lifestyle questions to identify visual needs and recommend frames, lenses, and treatments.
Keeps current on company/industry products and procedures, rebates, and lens/frame options.
Takes and returns patient calls, updates patients on order status, and resolves issues; Escalates to management as needed.
Explain insurance coverage, warranty, and pricing; assist with frame and lens selections and measurements.
