Advanced Vision Center is hiring a Licensed Optician in Swampscott, MA. You will assist patients in selecting eyewear, ensuring proper fit, measurements, and lens dispensing while delivering exceptional customer service. The role involves interpreting prescriptions, updating the EHR, and coordinating with technicians to ensure timely order completion.

State licensure is required; ABO/NCLE preferred. Proficiency in MS Office and HIPAA familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• State licensure required for Optician role.
• High School or GED completion is required.
• ABO/NCLE certification preferred but not required.
• Optical dispensing experience is expected.
• HIPAA requirements familiarity is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories based on prescription, lifestyle, and style.
• Ensure proper frame fit, accurate measurements, and correct lens dispensing.
• Explain products, warranties, and protection plans to patients.
• Educate patients on eyewear care, insurance, and coverage details.
• Communicate with technicians and managers about orders and statuses.
