Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a part-time Library Assistant to provide paraprofessional support and testing proctoring coverage. The role emphasizes independent judgment and strong technology skills as you assist users and manage resources.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Over two years of related experience in a computerized work environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist students, faculty, and staff with locating research materials.
• Maintain statistical records and create reports.
• Circulate and maintain library and AV materials and equipment.
• Catalog and process materials.
• Maintain and update library resources as needed.
• Update and maintain Library website.
• Conduct library orientations and instruction in class and virtually.
• Create course and subject LibGuides.
• Schedule, administer, score and process tests (e.g., VUE, NET, PSB, Compass).
• Proctor exams in the Testing Center as needed.
• Interact with faculty for student tutoring referrals.
• Follow all college policies and privacy rules.
