Job summary

Mountain View Regional and Gritters Library in Cobb County is seeking a part-time Library Technician to assist patrons with online resources and public computers, and to provide circulation services under librarian supervision.

The role involves shelving, processing book donations, daily delivery of materials, and special projects. Excellent communication and computer skills are expected to support busy operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required plus 6+ months public interaction experience.
• 18-hour week including nights and every other Saturday, plus four hours (1:00-5:00p) on scheduled Sundays.
• Excellent computer skills and enjoy assisting patrons with online resources

Responsibilities

• Circulation/information services including: checking books in and out; registering patrons for library cards and voter registration cards.
• Take fines for overdue books and assist in keeping daily statistics.
• Develops and maintains knowledge about library materials, services and programs; perform other duties as assigned.
