Job summary

State of Georgia seeks an Assistant, Library to support circulation, processing, and patron assistance at a technical college library.

The role requires a high school diploma and one year of related experience; knowledge of library automation and familiarity with BannerWeb and ANGEL are preferred. This is a part-time position with hours not exceeding 29 per week and no health insurance benefits.

Qualifications

Applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent and One (1) year of related work experience.
Knowledge of library automation and computer applications.
Prior library experience and knowledge of BannerWeb and ANGEL.

Responsibilities

Provides circulation services for all library materials at a technical college.
Processes orders for books, journals, audio-visual materials, Braille and other reference materials.
Assists in the promotion of library publicity projects.
May assist in providing library orientation.
Performs administrative/clerical duties and production functions.
Assists library patrons in utilizing computers and software applications.
Monitors the use of and maintains supplies for library.
Arranges displays and maintains display cases.
Processes interlibrary loan requests.
Processes overdue notices, places SIS holds.
Locates and enters book prices for billing.
