The City & Borough of Juneau Public Libraries is seeking part-time relief Assistant Library Technician I to join our team. You will work at the front desk in one of our branches, greeting patrons, assisting with online resources, and helping maintain a welcoming, safe environment.

Evening and weekend shifts are required with flexibility for additional hours. Ideal candidates have strong customer service, basic computer skills, high school diploma, and the ability to transport to library

Qualificações

Six (6) months of customer service experience that included the use of computer systems or databases.

Responsabilidades

Greeting patrons, opening library accounts, and answering general inquiries both in person and over the phone.
Assisting patrons in using online resources, the library catalog, and other services such as wireless internet.
Using discretion and tact when interacting with patrons and provide patron confidentiality as one of the central elements of public service.
Handling library materials from libraries across the state and can expect to assist patrons in locating library items and checking items in and out, and collecting payment.
Performing public-service tasks such as registering voters and selling bus passes.
