Job summary

Cuyahoga Falls Library is seeking a dependable Part-Time Custodian to keep the building clean, safe, and welcoming for patrons and staff. The role pays $15.39/hour and includes paid vacation, sick, personal, and holidays, with a 20-hour workweek and a Monday shift from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM plus additional weekday or weekend shifts.

The position involves custodial cleaning, meeting room setup, urgent cleaning response, general upkeep, and seasonal grounds maintenance.

Qualifications

• Reliable, professional, able to work independently
• Experience with buildings and grounds preferred
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain library spaces, furniture, restrooms, meeting rooms, and public areas
• Set up and take down rooms for programs and events
• Respond promptly to urgent cleaning needs and maintain a safe environment
• Assist with opening/closing procedures, inspections, and seasonal grounds upkeep
• Communicate clearly with team members and staff
• Utilize basic computer skills as part of daily tasks
