• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of one (1) year of direct customer service experience.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience handling cash and credit card transactions.
• Ability to type 35 wpm accurately.

Responsibilities

• Performs circulation procedures in charging and discharging loan materials; processing overdue, reserves, inter-loans, and branch loans.
• Registers new borrowers and processes fees.
• Establishes and maintains rapport with customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Communicates library information including initiatives, services, programs, and book sales.
• Assists patrons in solving circulation problems and concerns.
• Answers telephone calls and provides information or directs calls to the supervisor.
